Dr. Ryan Goessl

Executive Director and Conductor

Dr. Goessl is the conductor of the Camarata Music Company's Chorale and the auditioned Chamber Singers, which receive acclaim for their high level of artistry and conviction to the choral art. Camarata Music Company has been honored in guest performances by the President of South Korea, Ambassadors to South Korea, numerous embassy and chambers of commerce engagements, and regular festival guest invitations.

 

In 2018, Dr. Goessl was honored by the Mayor of Seoul,  the Honorable Won-Soon Park, by being given the distinction of being an Honorary Citizen of Seoul. Dr. Goessl has received Excellence in Choral Music awards from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the U.S. Embassy of Korea, and the Blue House from the President of South Korea, along with numerous solo music awards. Dr. Goessl is also the conductor of the Camarata Chamber Orchestra and Camarata Advanced Youth Choir. Dr. Goessl also currently teaches music at Hongik University.  He is past Assistant Professor and International Music Coordinator at Hansei University, where he was also past conductor of the Hansei University Gyoyang Choir.  

  

Most recent conducting performances include: Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem, Ramirez Misa Criolla, Schubert Mass in G, Bach’s B Minor Mass, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Fanshawe’s African Sanctus, Quintana’s Mass from Two Worlds, Brahms' Liebeslieder WalzerNeue Liebeslieder Walzer, Duruflé’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs and Fantasia on Christmas Carols, along with numerous guest performance appearances, alongside over twenty yearly performances of the Camarata Chamber Singers.  

  

Dr. Goessl is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), International Federation of Choral Music (IFCM), Korea Choral Directors Association (KCDA), Korea Federation of Choral Music (KFCM), Korean British/American Song Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Korea International Music Educators Association (KIMEA), and College Music Society (CMS). Dr. Goessl is also a K-Pop coach/consultant, and maintains an active voice studio, teaching twenty plus students weekly in voice technique, style, and vocal health.  More information about Dr. Goessl can be found at his website: http://www.ryangoessl.com
