Sing in our Christmas virtual choir!
All recordings are due December 7 (we extended)!
As you all know, we are having a very difficult time right now with Camarata Music, due to COVID-19. Of course, everyone's health and well-being is our top priority. Yet, we cannot help but greatly miss the beautiful music that Camarata Music prepares with all of our wonderful members, from around the world.
Therefore, we have decided to make a virtual (online) choir! Everyone, and anyone is welcome to take part! In addition to all our choir members, we would like to invite all Camarata Music Alumni, friends, and family to join along and sing! We will sing Silent Night, in German, English, and Korean!
Please share this with any past members of Camarata, or with anyone who you think may want to take part!
To do so, please follow these instructions:
1. Learn your part!
2. Find a quiet place to record
3. record yourself via video on your phone or computer (make sure that you use landscape mode)
4. you must listen to the accompaniment audio with headphones. We need to hear your voice without the accompaniment in your recording, so we can properly edit the video. Make sure you record with the video that has the conducting, and follow the conducting and voices very closely!
5. Take your time, and send us the best version of yourself.
6. Don't overdo your singing. Sing strong, but just like you would in a choir!
A few tips on creating a great video:

Choose a good spot in your house, maybe the kitchen with dirty dishes on the background it’s not a good choice.

If anything strange happens during recording, stop and restart.

I need to see your face: don’t stand to far from the camera.

Again, I need to see your face: be sure that on your back there is no bright light sources, as an open window or a lamp.

Did I say that I need to see your face? Ok, but if I can see only a big smiling face, maybe you’ve been to close to the camera

Try to keep the camera as firm as possible: it is better if you could put your smartphone on a stable support. If you hire your child to take the video, tell him to stay as firm as possible
And few tips for good audio recording:

You need to listen to learning track using headphones, because it must not be heard in your recording.

If any kind of unwanted noise happens during the recording, stop and restart: it is very hard to remove them later.

Follow previous suggestions and chances are that you already got a good audio recording of your voice.

It is not required to record separately audio and video, even if you had chance.

Don’t be afraid to sing out your part, but don’t exaggerate: sing as if you were performing with a real choir, nothing more, nothing less.
Here is the accompaniment file for the song! You should listen to this in your headphones and sing with it on your recording (make sure we cannot hear the accompaniment in the recording)!

모든 녹음은 12월 7일까지입니다. 여러분! 우리 모두 아시다시피, 현재 COVID-19으로 인해 Camarata Music은 매우 힘든 시간을 보내고 있습니다. 물론 모든 회원님들의 건강과 안녕이 최우선입니다. 하지만, 우리는 전세계의 멋진 멤버들과 함께 준비하는 카마라타뮤직의 아름다운 음악을 그리워하지 않을 수 없습니다.

그렇게 하기 위해 다음 몇가지 지침을 따라 주세요
